Prior to college, I hadn’t had a ton of experience with photography. I was a part of my high school’s Yearbook club for 3 years and photographed a lot of athletic, academic and community events but I never really thought of myself as a photographer. It wasn’t until I was hired as the assistant photo editor at my university’s newspaper that I discovered something new about myself- I really LOVED taking photos. I loved every step of the process, from setting up my camera and picking the best location to spending hours editing and tweaking each photo until it’s just right.

And I especially loved getting to meet all of my clients, see them smile and hear their stories.

And thus began the sequence of events that every photographer is probably familiar with… I bought my first camera and started taking pictures of anyone who would let me. This mainly involved my brothers and my friends (and my dog haha) who were all great sports when I came knocking asking them to be the star of yet another photoshoot.

And when I realized that I could make a business out of this little passion, I jumped at the opportunity and haven’t looked back since.

Everyone has an amazing story to tell and I feel so honored that i get to be a small piece of that journey for my clients! <3

My photography style is a colorful mix of photojournalism that is focused on capturing those perfect smiles but also all of the candid moments in between.

I’ve got a really big family, something that I’ve always been very thankful for. My mom is one of 6 kids and my dad is one of 3, so I have lots of aunts, uncles and cousins to keep things interesting! My mom and dad just recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary, and I have one older brother and one younger brother who have been my partners in crime since birth (:
